The planetary mill is designed for grinding materials of various strengths and hardness to a finely dispersed state in a periodic mode by dry or wet method. In a planetary mill, grinding occurs due to simultaneous deformation of compression and shear of material particles between the balls and the walls of the bowls. The size of the crushed material depends on the operating time of the mill, the physical properties of the material, the loading volume of the bowls, as well as the loading volume of grinding balls. The recommended volume of loading material into one bowl is from 15 to 45 cm3 ; balls – from 50 to 130 cm3 . The planetary mill MPP 1-4 can be used as a mixer for the preparation of emulsions, suspensions and slickers.
